The Juvéderm® Procedure

Juvéderm® injections usually take around 15 minutes at our office in Falls Church, VA. A fine needle is used to administer the gel under the skin into the targeted area to add volume or fill in wrinkles and folds. While an anesthetic may not be necessary, your provider may still elect to apply a topical anesthetic on the treatment area.

Once the procedure is complete, patients can return to regular activities right away. There is no downtime after Juvéderm® injections. However, for the first 24 hours, patients should avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and alcohol consumption.
